GOD TOLD ME HE’S THE ONE, but I’ve been waiting for so long, what if I didn’t hear well?
Being in this situation can create doubt, such that you no longer believe God speaks to you. Don’t allow the devil attack your relationship with God. If your relationship with God has been thriving all these years, and you know how He’s been communicating with you, don’t think He’s going to lie to you in this phase. You must be able to say, ‘I know what God said to me’.
It takes the two people involved to align with God’s will. However, it’s not your duty to cause Him to align, it’s still a choice. However, prayers birth tremendous results.
God’s timing is mandatory. That you’re ready, doesn’t mean God is through with him. I advice you wait on God, not on man. Waiting on God, can be likened to being a waiter. Whatever He says, you do. Engage God in that season. Understand more about the future you will build together. When the relationship kicks off, you won’t be idle, wondering what next to do.
Go back to the drawing table. Get your convictions again and again. If God moves, you move. If He stays, you stay. He makes all things beautiful in His time.
Talk to your spiritual guide, mentor, parent etc. Get wisdom and listen to their counsel. When you’re too troubled to listen, God can speak to you through them. Also, their instructions are profitable. If they have guided you rightly all these while, trust God that they will still do so.
May God grant you the grace to trust him and make the right decision as regards this matter.
